THE STUPID PEOPLE
I heard a preach tonight that was centred around Proverbs 12:1b. Proverbs 12:1 says this:
He who hates correction is stupid. It was a good reminder that accountability - true accountability - is not only important, is it vital to our survival and growth as Believers.
Do you have solid, loving accountability in your life and do you allow those people to speak to you? Or do you scorn rebuke and correction and surround yourself only with others who will tickle your ears with compliments? Or have your past reactions made those in your life too afraid or too frustrated to bother to attempt correction any longer?
It is never too late to make changes about people speaking into our lives and what we choose to do with what they say to us. But here is one thing that will never change:
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but he who hates correction is stupid.
