TRUE LOVE CANNOT BE QUENCHED
For anyone who hasn't heard, I'm taking a short breather from the blogging thing until the New Year, while I move and settle into my new home, travel to Kiev and do a bunch of other things.
I was, however, pondering this scripture this week with my students, and its strength and truth have stayed with me:
"Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised." (Song of Songs 8:7)
This is the love of the Lord for each of us. We are not laid aside, we are not forgotten. We are loved jealously, with fire and as strong as death.
NOTHING can overcome this love.
